Burak was educated at the internationally accredited Middle East Technical University (ODTU) and Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey.  While he utilizes his civil engineering background to solve problems, he uses his extensive knowledge in economics and finance to manage his client's expectations.    He worked as a civil engineer and project manager for 3 years prior to changing careers in 1995.

 

He joined the financial services industry at Global Corporate and Investment Bank of Citigroup in Zurich, Switzerland in 1995 where he worked as the Assistant Country Financial Controller.  He was sponsored by Citigroup to join their team in New York in 1996.  He held several positions as an officer with Citigroup prior to joining AXA Advisors as a Financial Consultant in 2004.

 

Burak is currently a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Qualified Plan Specialist and Financial Consultant with AXA Advisors.  He holds Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 licenses with FINRA, in addition to the Life, Health and Variable Life Insurance licenses with State Insurance Commissions.

 

He is the founder and a managing partner of Vital Planning Group (www.vitalplanning.com) a group of like minded AXA Advisors who teamed up to deliver excellence in client satisfaction.

 

Burak has identified employer sponsored retirement plans as his focus early on in his career and spends majority of his time consulting small to mid size companies in helping them attracting, hiring and retaining qualified people by structuring retirement and group benefit plans in an optimized manner.  He also advises individuals towards a successful and rewarding retirement.
 

He has received the prestigious Centurion award multiple times and also has qualified as a member of National Leaders Corps for AXA Advisors and the financial services industry’s prestigious Million Dollar Round Table multiple times.  He has received a certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and has been awarded by AXA Advisors the title of Retirement Planning Specialist.

 

He serves on the Board of Directors for Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI), also is a Member of Turkish American Business Forum, The American Turkish Society and a member of Rotary International.  He lives with his loving wife and three adorable children in Mercer County, NJ.
